Fr. Patrick Lawson |
Fr. Pat was ordained in 1996 and prior to
coming to serve in The Valley Parishes, he was based in St. Palladius in
Dalry.
He arrived in the Galloway diocese from a period of parish ministry in
America. He is a qualified Social Worker, having managed various
residential homes, and a State Registered Nurse with wide experience in
theatre nursing in Scotland and America.
Ordained by Bishop Taylor for this Diocese, Fr. Pat had a few temporary
appointments before settling in Kilwinning to serve with Fr. Matt
McMannus where he provided chaplaincy services to St Winning's Primary
School, St Luke's Primary School and St Palladius' Primary School as
well as assisting the lay chaplaincy team at St Michael's Academy.
In 2005 Fr. Pat replaced Fr. John Kinsler, taking pastoral
responsibility for St. Sophia's, Our Lady of the Valley & St. Paul's.
